Keeping You in the Loop - July 2026
A note from Alex It’s been a fantastic month with a few highlights...
Of course, I have to start with football. I was fortunate to get selected for the Aldingbourne Team at their recent FA tournament at Lancing FC for one of their matches, and it was great to see so many people enjoying the occasion. John was on fire and finished as the top scorer although Danny was a close second with a vigorous and dynamic display of skill. Continuing the football theme, it was great to see the coverage of our World Cup song on BBC last week – and let’s hope we get more brilliant profile-raising opportunities the closer England gets to the trophy.
I’ve been spending as much time as I can in team meetings and in our services to build my knowledge and understanding of what Aldingbourne is about. I had a great day with the Creative Spaces team talking through their ideas and plans, the Transition team at their monthly meeting, the Sudley Rd team at their meeting and the Outreach team too. I spent a few hours shadowing Kaz at Sudley Road last week and have a shift booked in with the outreach team for this Friday. I was also very privileged to spend some time with a LIMA group online too, which was fascinating. Unfortunately, the extreme heat we had meant that the MAKE team day was postponed.
So I’m learning, more and more each day. One thing I’ve realised already is how fortunate we are to have such incredibly talented and committed people, driven by a united passion to do the best for the people we support. Thank you for all you do and I look forward to catching up with you all soon. Alex, Chief Executive Officer |
